Our topic for this term is 'The Swinging Sixties!'
This topic will celebrate Ashton's 60th birthday and look at how Preston has changed from the 1960s to now.
Our first Maths topic will be about knowing the place value of each digit and being able to add, subtract, times and divide different numbers effectively.
For our first English unit, we will be using the text 'The Nowhere Emporium' and writing about mystery and magic!
PE will be on Wednesdays this term and swimming will be each Friday.
Please ensure PE kits are in school every day.
Black pumps, purple shorts and yellow T-shirts. (Trainers, grey, black or blue tracksuit trousers/leggings and school jumper/cardigan for cooler weather.)
Long hair must be tied up for all P.E lessons. Jewellery must not be worn for P.E.

Please can children bring a full bottle of water (no juice) to school each day.
They will bring this bottle home each night for cleaning and refilling.
Children should be reading at least 5 times per week. Please send reading books and diaries into school every day.
Children will be set MyMaths tasks on a Wednesday which need completing by the following Wednesday.
Children should practise their times tables regularly using Times Table Rock Stars.
All login details have been sent home with the children in the front of their reading diaries.
In addition to this, children will receive spellings to learn each week. They will be given out on a Monday and the children will be tested on the words the following Monday.
