We hope you have all had a lovely Easter break and are ready for the Summer Term in Year 6.
Our topic for this term is 'Oh! I do like to be beside the seaside!'
This topic will include History, Geography, Art and DT.
Our first Maths topic will be about knowing the place value of each digit and being able to add, subtract, times and divide different numbers effectively.
For our first English unit, we will continue our learning about William Shakespeare's life and work.
PE will be on Mondays and Thursdays this term.
Children are to wear PE kits to school on these days.
Black pumps, purple shorts and yellow T-shirts. (Trainers, grey, black or blue tracksuit trousers/leggings and school jumper/cardigan for cooler weather.)
Long hair must be tied up for all P.E lessons. Jewellery must not be worn for P.E.
Please click here for our curriculum overview for the Summer Term.
Please can children bring a full bottle of water (no juice) to school each day.
They will bring this bottle home each night for cleaning and refilling.

Reading books will be changed each Thursday. Any books that need changing need to be in school on a Thursday. Children do not need to bring their reading diaries into school but should still be recording all reading activity in them as usual. Please do not send books to school on other days.
Unfortunately, books will not be changed on other days.
Children will be set MyMaths tasks on a Friday which need completing by the following Friday.
Children should practise their times tables regularly using Times Table Rock Stars.
All login details have been sent home with the children.
In addition to this, children will receive spellings to learn each week. They will be given out on a Monday and the children will be tested on the words the following Monday.
Please ensure you check Class Dojo regularly as we put important information and photos on there.
Please do not hesitate to contact us with any queries.
